Retail Support/Food Visionary

Pinwheel Provisions, is a retail food concept that originated in the Philadelphia area in 2019 (currently based in Narberth; moving to Bryn Mawr soon). The concept focuses on locally produced, all natural, frozen ready-meals; locally produced quick frozen produce and proteins; and shelf-stable artisan produced "mealmakers" (sauces, simmer sauces, spice rubs, etc.) to provide customers convenience, flexibility and variety in putting together nutritious meals for themselves and their households. This is also a uniquely low-waste and environmentally-oriented concept, as we encourage the reduction of single use plastic and help prevent food waste. We are looking for retail support for our soon-to-open new location in Bryn Mawr (we are currently operating in Narberth.) The ideal candidate is interested in food, wellness, and eco-friendly approaches to food. If the candidate has food production experience, we would love to involve them in the development of new food products, recipes, etc. Prior retail experience is beneficial. An interest and experience in social media or marketing would be a welcome bonus.

We will be opening our location in Bryn Mawr (close to the theater in August) and hope to train up new staff this summer, with the object of having them on the on the shop floor by the end of the summer. The schedule and # of hours per week, is very flexible, however we prefer staff take at least two 4-hour shifts per week. Staffers receive a generous discount on all shop products.
